The Physical Barrier is unaffected by power outages or electrical problems. Once erected the barrier restricts access to the work cell and prevents employees from casually wandering into an area where they may be injured by automated equipment.

The Physical Barrier also provides a visual barrier, alerting workers to the existence of potentially hazardous equipment.

The barrier doubles as a potential safety net by helping contain objects thrown or ejected by malfunctioning equipment.

Versatile —
A variety of standard size panels may be used to build your exact enclosure. The modular panels mount to posts set on maximum 10'2" centers. the panels can be mounted in many configurations and with an adjustable mounting kit, odd angle configurations are possible.

The standard barrier used a five-foot -high panel mounted one foot above floor level on a six-foot-high post. This makes a barrier tall enough to keep employees out, while leaving a generous sweep space for the clean-up crew.

Economical —
Wire Crafters' Physical Barriers install quickly with standard hand tools. All hardware is easily accessible to the installer from inside the work cell. The posts mount to your plant floor with 1/2" wedge anchors. Future layout changes may be accomplished with little or no waste because the systems modular panels may be relocated and used again as your system grows or changes.

Wire Panels •

Panels are constructed of 10-gauge steel wire woven into 2" x 1" rectangular mesh and welded into a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 1/8" steel angle frame. Frames have slotted holes for mounting to adjacent posts and panels. Three to six foot wide panels have a 1/4" x 3/4" stiffener welded to the frame behind the mesh. Wider panels have two stiffeners. Hardware is included. Panel mounting hardware is standard 3/8" plated fasteners. Typical Elevation

Run & Corner Posts •

	Posts are made of 2" square 14-gauge steel tubing. Base plates with holes punched for floor anchors are welded to each post. A cap is tack welded to the top of post. Mounting holes (1/2") are spaced to leave a sweep space below the panels. Posts project 2" above the panels and gates. Hardware is included. Floor anchors are 1/2" or 3/8" wedge type.

Hinge Gate •

Gates are framed in 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 3/16" steel angle and constructed of the same materials as the barrier. Gates are sized to match the overall height and configuration of the barrier. Two gate posts and mounting hardware are supplied with each gate.
